Kayu Health ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: name, email, mobile phone number, mailing address, date of birth, health-intake responses, payment information.
Automatically collected: device, browser, IP address, pages viewed, referrer.
From providers: licensed clinicians, pharmacies, and labs may share your prescription and clinical data with us to deliver services.

2. How We Use Information

To provide medical services, prescriptions, and follow-up care
To send appointment reminders, prescription updates, and account notifications via SMS and email
To send marketing and promotional messages (only with your express opt-in)
To process payments and prevent fraud
To comply with HIPAA, state pharmacy law, and other legal obligations

3. SMS Messaging Consent

We send two categories of SMS message:

Transactional: appointment reminders, prescription status, account notifications, two-factor codes.
Marketing: promotional offers, new service launches, educational content.

You opt in to each category separately within the chat widget on this site. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

4. Information Sharing

We share information only with:

Licensed clinicians and pharmacies fulfilling your care
Service providers (payment, email, SMS aggregators, analytics) bound by data-processing agreements
Authorities when required by law

SMS opt-in data: All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services.

5. Data Retention

We retain medical records as required by California state law (minimum 7 years from last service). Marketing data is retained until you opt out or 2 years of inactivity.

6. Your Rights

California residents may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of personal information by emailing chris@kayuhealth.com. We do not sell personal information.

7. Security

We use HTTPS, encryption at rest, and HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. No system is 100% secure; report suspected incidents to chris@kayuhealth.com.

8. Children

Our services are for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will post material changes here with a new effective date.
